NIR video system

Feb. 1, 1997
A near-IR imaging system combines a diode-laser-array illuminator with a range-gated intensified CCD camera, 89-mm zoom lens, and control electronics to provide the Active TV Demonstrator. The system can work in total darkness, with reduced blooming and reduced light scattering, while providing both imaging and ranging of objects and detection of retroreflectors.
