Cooled mid-IR lasers

The DH Series of lead-salt lasers are packaged with a compact Stirling cooler, which requires no liquid coolants or external compressor and has a mean time to failure of 20,000 h. The RS-232 interface allows remote temperature control. Lead-salt diodes, which emit from 3 to 10 µm, are typically cooled by liquid nitrogen and are used for pollution monitoring, process monitoring, and isotope analysis.
