The RTD Real Time Disk System consists of a progressive-scan CCD camera, PCI-bus frame grabber, and a Pentium 133-MH¥computer with a 6.3-Gbit hard disk and software that runs under MS-Windows 95. The system captures 640 ¥ 480, 8-bit resolution video at 30 frames/s interlaced or noninterlaced and stores u¥to 10 min of these images on the hard disk. Resolution and video rates are limited by the maximum data-transfer rate to disk of 40 Mbit/s. Systems can be customized for faster record
