    Dental/Medical Diagnostics Systems (DMD; Westlake Village, CA) has entered a multimillion-dollar development and marketing agreement with Suni Imaging Microsystems (Mountain View, CA) with the aim of creating an advanced digital x-ray sensor toward the end of 1998. The companies expect that the sensor will eventually allow fully digital x-ray systems to eliminate the need for film-based x-ray systems.
