Mid-IR diodes

Dec. 1, 1998
Laser diodes and LEDs based on GaSbInAs are available with output wavelengths from 1.5 to 4.7 µm and with CW or pulsed operation. The diodes are designed for tunable spectroscopy applications and mid-IR illumination. The output can be high-frequency-modulated by current. The devices are available in C-mount, TO-5, and HHL packages.
