The MQO-SC is the world's first component-level supercontinuum source.

The MQO-SC is the world's first component-level supercontinuum source. It is an ultra-compact, monolithic, short pulsed supercontinuum laser that emits a spectrum from 750nm to >1750nm. The MQO-SC can generate a pulse energy of >3uJ at 20kHz or less with a 2-3ns pulsewidth. It is based on a hermetically sealed design with telecom grade packaging. Output is provided via standard single-mode fiber with or without a fiber connector. The MQO-SC is ideally suited for integration in OEM systems and instrumentation, including spectroscopy and bioinstrumentation. The laser is available from Arctic Photonics and offered by their North American distributor RPMC Lasers Inc. (O'Fallon, MO).
