On Thursday, June 28, at 12 p.m. EST, join BioOptics World for a free, live, one-hour webcast on optical coherence tomography (OCT) in the eye, nose, and throat (ENT) area, which is promising for diagnosing sleep apnea and neonatal issues.

Brian Wong, Ph.D., MD, professor and vice chairman, otolaryngology, at the Beckman Laser Institute at the University of California Irvine, is a specialist in corrective and reconstructive facial surgery, and will lead the webcast. As half of the complaints that patients bring to their doctors relate to disorders of the upper airway, says Wong, he will cover the use of OCT in the head, neck, and upper airway in depth, and present the latest developments in this area. He will describe use of OCT in a microcatheter to collect detailed anatomical data that enables construction of 3D models for flow analysis to identify obstructions and to guide reconstructive surgery.

If you are unable to join us for the live version, the webcast will be available on-demand for later viewing 24 hours after the broadcast.
