Heidelberg Engineering (Heidelberg, Germany) has gained FDA clearance for its Spectralis anterior segment module, which provides high-resolution images of the cornea, anterior chamber angle, and sclera using the company's Heidelberg Noise Reduction technology.

Compatible with all Spectralis spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) models, the module also enables clinicians to assess both chamber angles at the same time using a 16-mm-wide angle-to-angle OCT scan.
