Michelson Diagnostics has placed a volume purchase order for swept-laser optical coherence tomography (OCT) engines from Axsun Technologies a subsidiary of Volcano Corporation.

Michelson Diagnostics (Orpington, England) has placed a volume purchase order for swept-laser optical coherence tomography (OCT) engines from Axsun Technologies (Billerica, MA) a subsidiary of Volcano Corporation (NASDAQ:VOLC; San Diego, CA).

The company's Swept Laser OCT Engine will power Michelson Diagnostics' Vivosight Multi-Beam OCT system, which is the first OCT scanner to receive FDA clearance for imaging skin in high definition, revealing subsurface tissue structure with unprecedented detail.
