Leica acquisition strengthens presence in India

Microscopy and histology solutions provider Leica Microsystems (Wetzlar, Germany) has acquired the microscopy and histopathology business of Labindia Instruments Pvt. Ltd. (Delhi, India). Labindia has distributed Leica’s products in India for the past 20 years, and over 130 associates from Labindia have transferred to Leica to sustain continuity for existing customers.

Leica's expansion in India will foster extended opportunities for interaction, collaboration, and innovation to benefit all of the company's customers in the life sciences, industrial laboratories, and hospitals for both diagnostics and surgery, explains Arnd Kaldowski, Leica Microsystems' president.
