BIOPHOTONICS/TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT: New SPIE award to recognize excellence in biophotonics technology development

The photonics association SPIE (Bellingham, WA) has established the Biophotonics Technology Innovator award to honor extraordinary achievements in technology development that show strong promise or potential impact.

The photonics association SPIE (Bellingham, WA) has established the Biophotonics Technology Innovator award to honor extraordinary achievements in technology development that show strong promise or potential impact. To be presented annually, the award will recognize members of the biophotonics community who have made outstanding technical contributions and may be at a relatively early career stage.

According to SPIE, the award will target achievements that span disciplines, and projects that may include elements of basic research, technology development, and clinical translation.
