Peter Schunemann

Peter Schunemann is a senior staff chemist at Northrop Grumman SYNOPTICS and a leading researcher in mid-infrared nonlinear optical and laser host crystals, with over 650 publications and 14 patents. He has pioneered growth and processing of key mid-IR crystals at BAE systems including ZnGeP₂, ZGP, CdSiP₂, OP-GaAs, and OP-GaP. He holds BS and MS degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT and a Doctor of Engineering from Heriot-Watt University. Schunemann currently serves as the president of AACG.
