The U.S. germanium supply chain is under threat facing shortages and rising prices. China recently banned exports of germanium and other critical minerals used in high-tech, defense, and other industries. In this webinar, we’ll discuss the U.S. germanium supply chain, current and anticipated effects of the Chinese export ban, and potential solutions to secure the U.S. germanium supply. We’ll also discuss new efforts underway to increase domestic germanium production and to develop alternative materials for defense optics.
