• Workshop of Photonics to demonstrate spatially variable waveplate at SPIE Photonics West 2016

A spatially variable waveplate (SVW) has use in flat-top conversion.
    Jan. 18, 2016

A spatially variable waveplate (SVW) has use in flat-top conversion. When combined with a linear polarizer, it acts as a spatially variable transmission filter (patent pending) and can be used to transform incident Gaussian beam to a perfect flat-top beam with efficiency >50% of initial laser power.
