Schott optical glass has utility in single-lens reflex camera lenses

July 31, 2014
N-FK58 XLD optical glass (XLD = extremely low dispersion) is intended for use in single-lens reflex camera lenses where apochromatic color aberration correction is necessary.

N-FK58 XLD optical glass (XLD = extremely low dispersion) is intended for use in single-lens reflex camera lenses where apochromatic color aberration correction is necessary. The glass offers particularly high performance in combination with anomalous dispersion glasses such as short flint glasses. Some of the low dispersion optical glasses are available with a refractive index level of 0.5.
