The Model 773 compact, low-voltage DC input power converter/laser diode driver supplies high pulsed current for laser diode-stack loads. Pulsed output current is 100 A with <25 μs rise time into diode stacks of 2–5 V and up to 3 ms pulsewidth for Er:glass at an average power to the load of 1.0 W.

Longwood, FL - Analog Modules, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of its High Current Pulsed Laser Diode Driver, Model 773.

The Model 773 is a low-cost, highly compact low voltage DC input power converter/laser diode driver designed to supply high pulsed current for laser diode-stack loads. Pulsed output current is 100A with 25s risetime into diode-stacks of 2-5V (up to 3ms pulse width for Er:glass) (18-24V load version under development) at an average power to the load of 1.0W. Performance over temperature is guaranteed from -32°C to +55°C. The driver weighs only 2.1 oz. and is ideally suited for rangefinding applications. The unit does not require a heatsink and offers open circuit and short circuit protection.
