Mike Miller is a Hardware Product Manager at Magic Leap, based in Austin, Texas. With a background in hardware and process engineering, he possesses expertise in augmented reality displays, optoelectronic components, nanolithography, and semiconductor processing. Mike has played key roles in R&D and prototyping teams while contributing to the development and commercialization of AR waveguide displays. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin with work experience at 3M Company, Molecular Imprints, and Magic Leap and has over thirty issued patents in related fields.
With a focus on commercial optics and electronics applications, Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in hardware product management and engineering. The focus of his talk will be Magic Leap's vertical integration approach to designing and manufacturing diffractive waveguides for see-through augmented reality displays.
