Fluorescent sectioning microscope

Oct. 1, 1995
The DeltaVision system integrates a wide-field sectioning fluorescent microscope with a 12-bit cooled CCD camera whose images are processed using proprietary software on a Silicon Graphics 24-bit color workstation. Image processing provides better results than confocal imaging methods, and multidimensional images can be achieved at lower illumination intensities than are possible with confocal microscopes.
