Cambridge Technology, Inc. Announces The Model 6250H Galvanometer and High Performance Scanning Mirrors

A High-Performance Galvo for Large Apertures is a price/performance breakthrough

Lexington, MA and San Francisco CA. January 24, 2012– Cambridge Technology, Inc., the market leader in galvanometer-based optical scanning technology, today announced another product innovation for large aperture scanning applications. The 6250H, the latest addition to the CTI 62xxH Product line of moving magnet galvanometers is optimized to provide maximum performance for 30mm-50mm apertures. Based on Cambridge Technology’s highly successful 62xxH actuator and position detector innovations, the 6250H brings a price/performance breakthrough to large aperture applications.

"Applications such as remote welding, cutting, converting, PV processing require large apertures to achieve the desired small spot sizes while simultaneously demanding cost-effective scanning solutions" remarked Redmond P. Aylward, President of Cambridge Technology, Inc. "The 6250H design is fully optimized to address the price/performance requirements of these applications. And, when couples with Cambridge Technology’s high performance large aperture mirrors, the 6250H also provides Breakthrough large aperture processing speeds.”

Priced substantially less than the CTI flagship 6260H very large aperture scanner, the 6250H is available now in sample quantities, production quantities in Q2-2012.

Cambridge Technology, Inc. is the market leader in closed-loop, galvanometer based optical scanning components subsystems, controllers software, and supporting products. These products provide superior scanning performance to a wide variety of applications including laser marking, engraving, drilling, machining and treating, biomedical applications in Ophthalmology, DNA sequencing, and Confocal Microscopy, laser entertainment and industrial projection, and any application where laser beam steering is required.
