September 26th Webcast - New Developments in High Power Fiber Lasers
This webcast will give an overview of the state of the art for high-energy fiber lasers and their emerging applications.
Fiber lasers have become the highest power industrial lasers, playing important roles in auto manufacturing, additive manufacturing, and a variety of other applications. Beam combination of many fiber lasers closely spaced in wavelength -- essentially a high-power version of dense wavelength-division multiplexing -- has made fiber lasers leading candidates for laser weapons for defense against rockets, artillery, mortars, drones and small boats. New types of fiber lasers also are being developed. This webcast will give an overview of the state of the art for high-energy fiber lasers and their emerging applications.
