Scott Riggi named Block Engineering's Vice President of Sales

Marlborough, MA -- Developer of Quantum Cascade Laser and FTIR spectroscopy instruments, Block Engineering, has announced that Scott Riggi has joined the company as its new Vice President of Sales.

Marlborough, MA -- Developer of Quantum Cascade Laser and FTIR spectroscopy instruments, Block Engineering, has announced that Scott Riggi has joined the company as its new Vice President of Sales. Scott will lead all sales activities for Block's award-winning line of QCL products, including its new LaserBench benchtop QCL spectrometer for the laboratory.

Scott comes to Block Engineering after having served as Director of Sales for the Americas at Princeton Instruments, a Roper Industries Company, where he was instrumental in growing the US research sales for a complete line of optical imaging scientific equipment including spectrometers, optics and CCD-based detectors. Prior to Princeton Instruments, Scott served as Director of Sales at Thermo Fisher's Scientific Air Quality Instruments Group, where he managed a hybrid sales model focused in the industrial power generation and petrochemical vertical space. Scott held similar roles with the Danaher Company and Cookson Electronics, and has over 20 plus years in a sales management capacity. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, from Wentworth Institute of Technology and worked as an RF semiconductor design engineer for ten years.
