VLOC, Subsidiary of II-VI Incorporated (pronounced two-six) is a recognized leader in the growth and manufacture of laser crystals, materials and optical components for the solid state laser marker.

VLOC was created in 1996 resulting from a merger of Virgo optics and Lightening Optical Corporation. VLOC can trace its roots back to 1977, when former Bell Laboratory engineers founded Virgo with a vision to fabricate laser rods and optics. VLOC has continued this tradition while advancing its technologies and product offerings. VLOC occupies 65,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing on the gulf coast of Florida. In addition, VLOC has small scale to high volume manufacturing capabilities in China and recently added high volume capabilities at its newest off-shore facility in Vietnam. Both Asian facilities are ISO 9001-2000 Certified.

VLOC specializes in the growth and manufacturing of laser crystals, materials and components for the military, medical, industrial, semi-conductor, instrumentation R & D markets. Our family of products includes a hosts of Oxide laser crystals including single crystal Nd:YAG, Er:YAG and Ceramic YAG, as well as fluoride and custom crystals materials. VLOC produces a wide array of optical components including waveplates, intracavity optics, extracavity optics, lens ducts, large diameter optics, lightweighted optics, flowtubes and is a world-wide recognized leader in the manufacturing of low cost debris windows for industrial and medical markets.
