Corey Dunsky is the president and founder of Aeos Consulting, Inc., providing technology, market, and strategy development as well as engineering design services to high-technology equipment and manufacturing companies. With fifteen years of experience developing laser-based processes and hardware for advanced manufacturing of high-technology products, he brings a unique perspective to high-growth emerging industries such as photovoltaics (PV). Prior to founding Aeos, he held various management and technical positions at Coherent, Inc. and Electro Scientific Industries, Inc. At Coherent, Dr. Dunsky managed the company’s worldwide Laser Applications Group and led the company’s entry into solar applications and laser-based PV equipment development. At ESI, he led groups driving advanced laser-micromachining application development as well as photonic hardware development. Dr. Dunsky has been developing and writing about laser applications in photovoltaics manufacturing for about five years. Today, at Aeos he advises clients in both the laser and photovoltaics industries on process and hardware development. In addition to his private-sector experience, Dr. Dunsky has held positions at NASA and Sandia National Laboratories. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and is based in Silicon Valley.
