• Alcon makes takeover bid for German eye-laser firm
  July 16, 2007, Huenenberg, Switzerland--Alcon, the world's largest eye-care company, says it intends to acquire eye-laser manufacturer WaveLight AG (Erlangen, Germany) through what is being called a "friendly takeover".
• JMAR sells more BriteLight lasers to LLNL for NIF program
  July 10, 2007, San Diego, CA--JMAR Technologies, a developer of advanced laser and high-resolution imaging and photonics technologies, announces a second sale of its proprietary BriteLight laser heads to the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) for use in the National Ignition Facility (NIF) program.
