Labs and universities purchase nanofabrication tool
June 21, 2005, Austin, TX--Molecular Imprints has developed a nanoscale lithography tool based on its step-and-flash imprint lithography (S-FIL) technology and has sold its system to a number of prominent nanotechnology centers. These centers include the Molecular Foundry at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (Berkeley, CA), the University of Texas at Austin (Austin, TX), and the Pennsylvania State Nanofabrication Facility (State College, PA).

M-Flex acquires assets of Applied Optics
June 16, 2005, Anaheim, CA--Multi-Fineline Electronix (M-Flex), a provider of flexible printed circuit and value-added component assembly solutions to the electronics industry, has entered into an agreement with Applied Image Group (Rochester, NY) and its subsidiary, Applied Optics (Tucson, AZ), to purchase for approximately $6.3 million in cash substantially all of the assets of Applied Optics, which designs and manufactures optical and photonic imaging solutions.

June 2, 2005, Albuquerque, NM--CVI Laser has acquired Optical Components Inc. (OCi; Covina, CA). This is the first acquisition for CVI Laser since partnering with Norwest Equity Partners (NEP; Minneapolis, MN) in May 2003.
