• DARPA Funds Optical Packet Router Development
  Santa Barbara, CA, May 4, 2004--A team of researchers in industry and higher education, led by a group at the University of California, Santa Barbara, has been awarded $6.3 million by the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency's Microsystems Technologies Office for the first phase of research to develop new technologies to advance optical router capacity.
• CEA-Leti signs new industrial partnership
  Grenoble, France, May 3, 2004--The CEA Electronic and Information Technologies Laboratory (CEA-Leti) and Intexys have concluded a research and development partnership that gives industry access to prototyping and assembling facilities utilizing the Platimo platform.
• JPSA offers excimer-laser refurbishment services
  Hollis, New Hampshire, April 2, 2004--JPSA Laser is now offering UV laser refurbishment services for excimer lasers.
