Optical storage to be discussed at Storage Visions Conference
December 29, 2005, Las Vegas, NV--The 2006 Storage Visions Conference will close with a session, hosted by Atmel (San Jose, CA) on New Trends in Optical Storage on the afternoon of Saturday, January 7, in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The session will focus on new blue laser optical disk technologies as well as holographic storage. Speakers for the session will represent Atmel, The Blu-Ray Disc Association (Hollywood, CA), Optware (Yokohama, Japan) and InPhase (Longmont, CO). A Q&A panel member from Imation (Oakdale, MN) will also join the panel after the presentations.
"Optical storage is undergoing a seachange in technology preparing for high definition entertainment content distribution," said Max Bathaee, director of Marketing Network Storage Products at Atmel. "It is our pleasure to host this session of the Storage Visions Conference which features insights into the future of optical storage including blue laser, holographic storage and key electronic integration."
