gnubi Expands Into Data Communications
Atlanta, GA, June 4, 2002 -- gnubi communications, the a supplier of multi-channel telecommunications test environments, is expanding into the converged communications space with the release of its new Dual Gigabit Ethernet Transceiver.
The new dual-port module allows testing of up to 34 Gigabit Ethernet transceiver ports in a single 4 RU chassis, and features the highest port density available on the market today for testing multi-layer Ethernet equipment. It can generate and analyze traffic, as well as track transmit and receive statistics.
The module extends the flexibility of gnubi's EPX and TransPort test systems. It works with any of gnubi's existing test chasses; it can be used in conjunction with other gnubi modules for multi-rate testing, or with other GigE modules for simultaneous multi-channel testing.
The GigE product is supported by gnubi's EPXam graphical user interface. Other user-friendly GigE module features include the ability to save and restore configurations, connect remotely via a Web browser, scripting, and sharing of resources. gnubi engineers are developing more new features for the GigE module; customers will be able to download them from the gnubi Web site as they become available.
