Photon Introduces Multiple Beam Analysis Software for BeamScan
Photon announces the introduction of a new software package option that provides for the analysis of simultaneous multiple beams entering BeamScan's aperture.
This software allows the user to examine and evaluate various standard beam parameters displayed within the user-defined region of interest on any or all beams captured by BeamScan. The unique control and selection feature gives the user flexibility either to single one beam out of many or view the entire beam set. Multiple beam data is displayed on the screen and can be isolated in contiguous beam sections as they are collected.
One important feature of the multiple beam analysis software is the ability to distinguish angular separation between any two simultaneous beams and display the results (in user-defined units of milli-radians, or degrees) in real time. The software quickly, automatically and accurately determines the respective angular separation parameters. The user can select the two beams of interest that are displayed for the angular separation calculations, whether or not they are shown contiguously. This provides another significant tool to help evaluate component selection for demanding DWDM fiber optic industry applications.
This system offers Photon's industry standard detailed measurements such as:
* Beam Width at set or user defined intensity clip levels
* Beam Centroid Position
* Parameter Statistics measurements over time
And with Multiple Beam Analysis:
* Automated or user defined Region of Interest
* Spatial and Angular Beam separation between any two beams
