Laser photoelectric offers pinpoint sensing accuracy for ultra thin targets
The F22 Series PowerTouch laser from Pepperl+Fuchs (Twinsburg, OH) offers a Class II laser light source for pinpoint sensing accuracy that features pushbutton sensitivity adjustment and a programmable optical interface. The system is available in 150-mm and 300-mm range diffused modes, as well as a retro-reflective mode. Applications include small-object sensing, semiconductor wafer edge detection, and slot presence.
Also available is an ML 4.1 Series photoelectric sensor with a 14-mm-wide housing that enables it to function in space-critical applications. The device features dual selectable outputs, short-circuit and reverse-polarity protection, a sensing range up to 8 ft, and a switching frequency of 500 Hz. It is available in four modes: Thru-beam, polarized retro-reflective, diffused and diffused mode with background suppression.
