Yvette Mattley received her MS in Biology from the University of South Florida where she studied the cellular stress response as a biomarker of environmental contamination. She received a PhD in Chemistry from the University of South Florida. Her dissertation focused on the use of UV-VIS spectroscopy for the characterization of whole blood and blood components. She joined Ocean Optics after graduation to develop spectroscopy-based products and applications. Over her career, she has been associated with or performed hundreds of application studies and released several application specific products. She is currently a Senior Applications Scientist overseeing the Applications Laboratory and providing applications expertise.
