Tucson, AZ--Precision surface and wavefront metrology and measurement instruments provider Engineering Synthesis Design, Inc. (ESDI) namedDonald A. Pearson II as its chief executive officer. In addition, company founder Raymond Castonguay will be chief technology officer.
ESDI says that building on its technology and advanced instrumentation, Pearson will pursue ESDI’s primary objectives to meet customer needs and create customer satisfaction in 2012 and beyond--the foundation for continued growth in revenue and profitability.
Pearson joined ESDI in March 2007 as director of sales and marketing. He holds a BS in Electro-Optical Engineering from the University of Houston (Houston, TX) and an MBA in International Business and Marketing from Maryville University (St. Louis, MO). His prior experience with SAIC, McDonnell Douglas, CTS Microelectronics, Lucent, Opto Technology, OptoLynx and Radian Research provides a broad base of knowledge and a record of success in sales and marketing of advanced technology products worldwide, as well as in product design, development and launch; channel development and management; and strategic and tactical planning.
ESDI’s surface and wavefront metrology solutions are sold into astronomical, aerospace, bio-medical, optical fabrication, data storage, and production metrology applications. Their products include Fizeau, Shearing, sub-Nyquist and “Real Time” vibration-insensitive interferometers; IntelliWave software; interferometer accessories and upgrades; and custom metrology solutions.
