Nozay, France--Optical telecom components maker 3S Photonics Group has reported a consolidated IFRS turnover of up to €51 million, which includes the activities of its various entities within its French, Canadian, and Korean subsidiaries. The submarine long-distance transmissions market and its expansion in the terrestrial long-distance market primarily drove the growth, which now represents a 10% market share (against 7% in 2010).

The company's consolidated turnover has increased by 64% compared to the previous year (44% within the same business scope). The consolidated EBITA reached €6.6 million, with a €3.8 million operating profit in 2011. In spite of the strong increase in turnover, operating expenses remained stable compared to 2010.

Alexandre Krivine, 3S Photonics Group president and CEO, states that the coming year also promises to be successful for the company, thanks to new investments and to a diversification of activities beyond the telecommunications market.
