Theralase appoints Cordoba as Therapeutic Division GM

Toronto, ON, Canada--Theralase announced that Jorge Córdoba has been appointed as general manager - Therapeutic Division for its therapeutic medical laser products.

Toronto, ON, Canada--Theralase Technologies (TSXV: TLT) announced that effective immediately, Jorge Córdoba has been appointed as general manager - Therapeutic Division for Theralase’s line of proprietary therapeutic medical laser products. Córdoba, reporting to Roger Dumoulin-White, president and CEO, will have general management responsibilities over the sales, marketing, production, clinical services and regulatory affairs departments.

Córdoba has over 16 years of experience in leading numerous high-technology manufacturing companies to success, providing general management expertise in local and international sales, marketing, production, operations and regulatory affairs. His last position was as director of operations for a $17 million aerospace organization turnaround situation, in which Córdoba, through a number of different initiatives, achieved an increase in productivity of over 400% in less than 2 years. Prior to that, Córdoba successfully launched a 250,000 square foot, $40 million facility for manufacturing high precision assemblies for a division of Magna Inc. In an earlier position, he was the sales and marketing manager for a high tech equipment manufacturer, responsible for sales in excess of $10 million annually.

Córdoba obtained a Master’s of Business from the Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario in 2005, a Master’s of Science in Advanced Manufacturing Technology from the University of Manchester, Manchester, England in 1993 and a Bachelor of Mechanical-Electrical Engineering from the National University, Mexico City, Mexico in 1989.
