Opto Diode to release 16-element photodiode at SPIE Photonics West 2014

Jan. 23, 2014
The new AXUV16ELG photodiode features a 40-pin dual-in-line package and is good for UV/EUV or electron detection.

Opto Diode, a division of ITW, and a member of the ITW Photonics Group, introduces a reliable, 16-element photodiode that is good for UV/EUV or electron detection. The new AXUV16ELG features a 40-pin dual in-line package and unparalleled internal quantum efficiency at 100 percent. The new photodiode is designed with a large, 2 mm x 5 mm active area and a sensitive area of 10 mm² per element. To enhance accuracy, the 40-pin detector offers stable response after exposure to high energy electrons or photons. Other features include reverse breakdown voltage at 25 V (typ.), capacitance of 40 pF, and a rise time of 500 nsec.
