Laser alignment station from Opto-Alignment measures individual lens surface errors

Aug. 15, 2013
With this station, users can align and inspect lenses without changing objectives.

The noncontact Laser Alignment Station measures alignment errors of individual lens surfaces inside a finished midwave or longwave IR lens arrangement. Users can align and inspect lenses without changing objectives. During assembly, the LAS-IR dual-band system can detect a 0.2 micron centration error from the top surface and a 2 micron centration error from the bottom surface of IR lenses that transmit at 3.39 micron.
