Murrieta, CA--Optical assemblies and components manufacturer LightWorks Optical Systems (http://www.laserfocusworld.com/articles/print/volume-47/issue-9/features/optical-test-equipment-ensquared-and-encircled-energy-testing-attains-automated-status.html) has begun work on Lot IV of a production contract for specialized optics that will be used by Maskless Lithography (San Jose, CA). Maskless Lithography, manufacturer of direct-write digital imaging technology for the printed circuit board (PCB) industry, will integrate the telecentric projection lenses designed by LightWorks Optical Systems into their newest line of maskless lithography imaging equipment.

Maskless Lithography says its technology offers the highest throughput in the PCB industry, due to its unique digital UV imaging capability that allows circuit designs to be traced and printed directly to the resist on copper-plated PCB substrates. With no special cleanrooms needed during production, Maskless says its maskless lithography offers best-in-class registration and the fastest return on investment.
