Innovative laser processing heads and efficient beam delivery systems

HIGHYAG will present its current products for materials processing with fibre lasers at this year’s Laser World of Photonics in Munich. In addition to innovative laser processing heads for cutting, welding and brazing in the macro and the micro range efficient beam delivery systems are shown at the HIGHYAG booth C2.453 in hall C2.

One of the highlights is the laser cutting head BIMO-FSC. This processing head has the capability to adjust the focus position and focus diameter automatically by the CNC control unit. This allows for cutting of different sheet thicknesses without any manual intervention. In combination with the BIMOFSC’s rapid focus movement on the work piece this guarantees efficient flat sheet cutting and hence highest productivity in manufacturing.

HIGHYAG also will present its latest products for beam delivery, such as laser light cables. These guide the laser light almost loss-free from the beam source to the processing head. Therefore, power and beam quality losses can be minimized. Another highlight is a live welding application of the remote laser welding head RLSK. Its threedimensional positioning of the laser focus offers the opportunity for "welding-on-the-fly" during the robot movement. Thus, the time between the welds is minimized and the capacity utilization of the welding robot can be improved. The quality control of the welding process is performed by the HIGHYAG partner plasmo whose quality control system is demonstrated also in the live welding application of the RLSK.
