Corning ClearCurve optical fiber solutions win datacenter award

Corning, NY--Pretium EDGE Solutions featuring ClearCurve optical fiber solutions from Corning received the Datacentre Facility Product of the Year at the Datacentre Solutions Awards 2013.

Corning, NY--Pretium EDGE Solutions featuring ClearCurveoptical fiber from Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) received the Datacentre Facility Product of the Year at the Datacentre Solutions Awards 2013 (http://www.dcsawards.com/home) in London. Pretium EDGE Solutions using Corning ClearCurve optical fiber is a cabling infrastructure solution for datacenters, consisting of optical trunks, harnesses, modules, and housings that help data center owners and operators increase revenue, reduce costs, and minimize risk.

The award category included a range of leading technologies in datacenter infrastructure (http://www.laserfocusworld.com/webcasts/2013/01/optical-technologies-scale-the-data-center-network.html) management, physical security, building and/or the cabling industry sector. Products were evaluated on their ability to demonstrate a competitive advantage and a clear return on investment for users. The awards were announced on May 23.

"The Datacentre Solutions Awards recognize the users, manufacturers, and suppliers operating in the data center fields and are voted for by the readers of our wide range of print and online publications," said Franziska Priebe, marketing manager of award organizers, Angel Business Communications. "All finalists did well in making the shortlist, but Corning Cable Systems was the clear winner in its category, Datacentre Facility Product of the Year."

The Datacentre Solutions (DCS) Awards reward the products, projects, and services as well as honor companies and teams operating in datacenter fields. Winners are selected by public vote.
