Rochester, NY, and Wharton, NJ––Optical components maker Navitar has named David Manzi as CTO, Steven Morales as general manager, and Thomas Young as controller. Morales and Young serve in their positions solely for the company's Special Optics Division, while Manzi serves both.
Manzi, formerly president and CEO of Special Optics, is responsible for managing the development of new products, directing corporate business strategy, and identifying new market focus areas. He holds a bachelor of science in physics from Pennsylvania State University.
Morales, who has worked for the Special Optics division for over 14 years, oversees all administrative functions of the company, including leading and directing employees and ensuring efficient and proper implementation of policies and procedures. He holds a degree in Applied Information Technology from Pace University, and is currently pursuing further education in engineering science and computer science.
Young, replacing Matthew Thomas, who retired in July, comes to Special Optics with over 20 years of diversified accounting experience in manufacturing, business services, construction, advertising, and non-profit healthcare. He holds a bachelor of arts in accounting from William Paterson University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
The three men are all based in the division’s Wharton, NJ, office.
