Mountain View, CA--Short-pulse fiber laser maker Mobius Photonics has made two leadership team promotions: Mark “Red” Byer to COO and Manuel Leonardo to CTO.

Mountain View, CA--Short-pulse fiber laser maker Mobius Photonics has made two leadership team promotions: Mark “Red” Byer to COO and Manuel Leonardo to CTO.

Byer, one of the company's co-founders, served as VP of operations prior to his promotion. His achievements include leading the build-out of the company’s headquarters and implementation of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, as well as building the company's IT foundation. He is one of the chief architects behind the company’s laser technologies and lead developer of the graphical user interface featured in each of its laser systems.

Leonardo, the other co-founder, was VP of technology previously. Having over 10 years of experience in developing ultraviolet laser systems, he is also an expert in developing and building high-peak-power laser systems with highly efficient nonlinear conversion. He is another one of the chief architects behind the company's laser technologies.
