Trumpf posts 15% sales increase for 2011/2012

Ditzingen, Germany--In the 2011/2012 fiscal year, which ended last month (June 2012), Trumpf generated sales of $2.85 billion—a 15% increase when compared to the previous year's $2.5 billion.

What's more, last year's $2.5 billion in sales was the highest in the company's history, beating its pre-recession record from fiscal year 2007/2008, says Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller, Trumpf president.

The company also saw a hike in orders received during 2011/12: At $2.9 billion, they increased above the previous year's $2.72 billion. Regarding profits, the company expects a result higher than that of the previous year, says Leibinger-Kammüller. In 2010/2011, the company achieved a pre-tax result of $227 million.

Trumpf will present its final figures at the Annual Press Conference on October 18.

Over the past fiscal year, the company created more than 1,000 new jobs—with personnel figures rising to over 9,600.
