Silicon Lightwave Technology debuts singlemode tiny collimators

Feb. 15, 2012
Tiny, fiber-size collimators have diameters from 200 to 500 μm.

Tiny, fiber-size collimators have diameters from 200 to 500 μm. They offer Gaussian beams at wavelengths from 285 to 2000 nm, with beam diameters of 50–150 μm. They are singlemode at specified wavelengths, and include a rugged compact collimator tip. A polarization-maintaining version and linear or 2D arrays are available.
