PRESS RELEASE

“Power Technology Introduces More Powerful 635nm PM Series Laser Modules”

LITTLE ROCK, AR, Aug 2, 2011– Power Technology, Inc., a leader in the Photonics Industry for over 40 years, announced today that it is now offering more powerful PM industrial-grade laser modules designed for standard or rugged OEM environments demanding durability and high output power. The versatile PM laser module featuring a wavelength of 635nm and diode compatibility is designed to further meet a variety of customer’s high-end OEM laser application needs including surveying, leveling, alignment, positioning and bar code reading.

Walter Burgess, VP of Sales and Engineering, remarked, “Our PM Series of laser modules contain a precision current source that can deliver up to 120mA of drive current to N-type or P-type diodes in APC, all in CC.” He continued, “The PM’s output power now ranges from 0.1mW to 100mW and also offers diffraction limited optical performance, small size, and operates on a low voltage of 3.3VDC”.

Mr. Burgess added,”For additional mounting flexibility, we also offer SPM Series modules that have a separated head and power supply. SPM lasers offer all the advantages of a PM including a rugged build, aspheric glass optics, and a versatile nature”.
