B&W Tek, Inc. Announces Lab Grade Preconfigured Spectrometer for Raman Spectroscopy

Newark, DE, June 2, 2011

B&W Tek, Inc., an advanced instrumentation company producing optical spectroscopy and laser systems, announces the Glacier™ T high resolution TE cooled CCD array spectrometer for Raman spectroscopy applications.

The Glacier™ T features laboratory performance in an extremely compact form factor, measuring less than 8in x 4in x 4in. B&W Tek’s proprietary TE Cooling technology allows the signal to be integrated for sufficient time to accumulate measurable signals for detection, without being saturated with dark noise. TE Cooling, combined with the Glacier T’s fast F/2 spectrograph, makes it ideal for modular Raman spectroscopy as well as OEM integration into larger Raman systems.

The Glacier™ T comes preconfigured with your choice of 532nm or 785nm excitation, with a resolution as fine as 3 cm-1 and a range up to 4000cm-1.

“Our industry leading Glacier™ modular spectrometer is now available in a pre-configured package that provides laboratory-grade spectral resolution for demanding Raman applications,” said Mike Kayat, VP of Sales & Marketing at B&W Tek, Inc. “This TE-cooled platform with extended spectral range is ideal for our OEM partners who are developing next generation, portable products based on high resolution Raman spectroscopy.”
