Market Tech to distribute Sphere Ultrafast Photonics measurement instrumentation

Sphere Ultrafast Photonics appointed Market Tech to provide sales and service for Sphere products in North America.

Sphere Ultrafast Photonics (Porto, Portugal), a growing company specializing in measurement instrumentation for ultrafast lasers, has appointed Market Tech (Scotts Valley, CA) to provide sales and service in North America for all Sphere products.

Sphere has developed pulse measurement solutions that help improve the performance of femtosecond laser applications. Sphere manufactures instrumentation using the d-scan technique, a new technology for the simultaneous measurement and compression of ultrafast pulses.

The d-scan instrument can be used either as a standalone system or integrated with existing optical pulse compressors. Coupling a beam into the d-scan is easily achieved in less than one minute and a full measurement takes less than 10 seconds. Sphere says that the resulting d-scan traces are very intuitive and a proprietary algorithm provides fast and accurate retrieval of the full electric field of the pulses. The instrument can measure broadband oscillators, amplifiers, OPAs and OPCPAs, and ultra-broadband hollow-fiber compressors emitting the shortest laser pulses available today.

Market Tech is a channel partner for lasers and photonics instrumentation with a product focus on lasers, optics, fiber optics, sensors, and optical instrumentation for applications in the life science, medical, telecom, and research markets.
