Leukos licenses ultrafast laser module from ALPhaNOV

Leukos to develop a new pump system for its supercontinuum laser sources.  

ALPhANOV (Talence, France), the technology center of the Route des Lasers, and Leukos (Limoges, France), which specializes in supercontinuum laser sources, have signed a technology transfer agreement covering a pulsed laser module. The agreement allows Leukos to produce a pump system based on the new picosecond laser platform developed by ALPhANOV.

Leukos has been interested in this new platform to develop a new pump module for its supercontinuum sources, enabling the company to increase the average power, which now reaches several Watts of white light with excellent beam quality. This new source is particularly suitable for applications such as microscopy and spectroscopy. The technology transfer agreement signed between ALPhANOV and Leukos ensures control of the production of this strategic module for its new generation of high-power supercontinuum laser sources.

ALPhANOV was established in 2007 to act as a technology transfer accelerator and uses its expertise and know-how to serve innovative projects with industrial target short and mid-terms. Expertise includes laser processeing and micromachining, laser sources and fiber components, laser and optical systems, and health applications of photonics. Leuko, founded in 2006, is a spin-off from XLIM insitute(UMR CNRS 7252), and is expert in developing supercontinuum sources based on new generation optical fibers and related applications.
