Morganville, NJ--Optical fiber splicing and photonics processing solutions company Vytran opened its newest customer support center in Cologne, Germany. The facility will provide product, technical and application support to customers in Europe. Vytran now provides customer and distributor support from four primary locations: the company headquarters in Morganville, NJ, USA; and customer support centers in Exeter, England; Cologne, Germany; and Hangzhou, China. The company also offers service and training through many of its distributors.

"We are happy to announce that Vytran has opened a new customer support center in Germany," said Fernando Terceiro, Vytran European sales manager. "The facility is intended to be a convenient resource for our European customers and distributors when they have product or application issues or would like application development support from a close-by team."

Jean-Michel Pelaprat, Vytran president and CEO, said, "With a goal of being closer to our customers worldwide, Vytran opened a service center in China a year ago and has now opened the new facility in Germany. We are determined to leverage these to help our customers succeed by providing them with high-performance optical fiber splicing and processing products that are reinforced with convenient, high-quality service and support."

Vytran supplies semi-automated and fully automated fiber fusion splicing and glass processing solutions for the telecom, fiber laser, sensing, medical, aerospace, and specialty fiber products markets. Vytran says its patented filament fusion technology is paired with machine monitoring and control capabilities to provide process control unattainable with other fusion splicing methods, in addition to innovations in fiber cleaving, recoating, and proof testing. Vytran is a member of the NKT Group.
