
February 6, 2009--Remote Light (Andover, MA), an optics technology company, appointed management consulting and solutions provider System Change (also in Andover) to license its extensive portfolio of ultraviolet (UV) light, optics, and fiber-optic patents for clean drinking water and air applications.
Remote Light has developed and patented a global portfolio of UV lighting technologies for drinking water, wastewater, other fluids, air, medical, consumer appliance, and surface applications. Remote Light owns or controls more than 120 U.S. and international granted patents, applications, and exclusive patent licenses combining optics with fiber optics and UV light for a broad range of purification and disinfection applications.
System Change will help establish Remote Light as a technology licensing company that offers custom design, validation, and prototyping services. "Remote Light has developed proprietary solutions that support innovative applications of UV light, optics and fiber optics, particularly for addressing the world-wide challenges of clean drinking water and safe air," said Isaac Horton, Remote Light's chairman and CEO.
